The Pharm.D at Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CLPT) is a professional doctoral degree program designed to prepare students for clinical pharmacy practice and healthcare management. Unlike traditional pharmacy degrees, the Pharm.D focuses heavily on patient care and clinical services.

1. Program Duration

The program spans a total of 6 years, divided into two distinct phases:

  • 5 Years: Intensive academic study and practical laboratory work.
  • 1 Year: Compulsory Internship/Residency in a hospital setting to gain real-world clinical experience.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: A pass in the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination.
  • Core Subjects: Physics and Chemistry are compulsory.
  • Optional Subjects: Mathematics or Biology.

3. Admission Criteria

Admission to the Pharm.D program is divided into two specific categories:

  • Category-A (70% of Seats): These seats are filled via AP EAPCET counseling based on the rank obtained by the candidate.
  • Category-B (30% of Seats): These are Management seats, which are filled by the institution's management according to established guidelines.
